    • Long running restaurant serving creative American cuisine in an intimate art-lined setting. Wonderful, quaint, high-service atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable and well taken care of. Anytime I want to take the wife out on a nice date or send my friend from out of town to a nice restaurant, I always suggest Midtown Café. Everything on the menu and wine list is top notch. Small setting feels like you’re in a hidden Nashville gem that adds to your good feeling while having the best Lemon Artichoke soup known to man.
  • Puckett’s Grocery. 500 Church St, Nashville, TN 37203. (615)770-2772.
    • Built in an old grocery store, Puckett's serves southern classics with the feeling of home. An extensive menu that offers everything from shrimp and grits to to the best black bean burger I've ever had, this hometown hot spot has something for everyone. Warm service, family friendly atmosphere and live music in the evenings make Puckett's my favorite place to dine in downtown Nashville.

    • I personally visited the Sylvan Heights location: If you are looking for a very laid back atmosphere and like to watch sports, this is the place for you. TV's Everywhere. I took my 2 young boys and they loved being able to watch the TV's while waiting on their food. Food and service was great. It is probably a good happy hour type place too.  Has outdoor seating as well.  Very open.
  • Hopsmith Tavern. 1903 Division Street Nashville, TN 37203. (615) 846-5990.

One could spend hours reading and admiring the collection of country music history. My favorite artifact in the museum is the old writings on cocktail napkins from Waylon Jennings that turned out to be his top hits! This is a must see hot spot in Nashville.
  • Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art. 1200 Forrest Park Dr, Nashville, TN 37205. (615) 353-6984.
    • I have been to Cheekwood several times now, and it’s always a wonderful experience! If you’re in Nashville in the spring, you have to go see the tulips! It’s definitely one of those things you have to add to your Nashville Bucket List. In the winter, however, the light display is also amazing (and you can see real reindeer!) The gardens are pretty large, so be prepared to walk a bit, up and down hills as well. We love watching the train display outside! The mansion is amazing, and always included in your admission price. There are so many fantastic photo spots, and you could easily spend several long hours there.
